Official: Germany still has no real alternatives to Russian gas

BERLIN, Nov 29 (PRIME) -- Germany still has no real alternatives to gas supplies from Russia, even after the liquefied natural gas (LNG) deal with Qatar, Chairman of the Bundestag’s Committee on Climate Action and Energy Klaus Ernst said on his Twitter on Tuesday.

“The federal government is celebrating the LNG deal with Qatar and bragging about big numbers. In reality, these two million tonnes of LNG equal 3% of Germany's gas consumption. There are still no real alternatives to Russian gas!” he said.
